Most teachers value student investment.  It’s crucial for higher order rigor and learning.  Yet, many educators struggle to invest students intrinsically.  Students have to be intrinsically motivated before they’ll persevere through challenges and help each other.  How does one motivate people to the point that their desire to achieve comes from internal as opposed to external factors?
